A food diary built around the recipes you actually cook

Most calorie trackers make you rebuild home-cooked meals one ingredient at a time. In MagicMeals your recipes already have nutrition attached, so logging dinner is one tap, and your day reads like a menu instead of a spreadsheet.

How it works

  1. 1Pick a recipe. Open any recipe in your cookbook and choose Add to my food diary.
  2. 2Set the meal and portion. Choose breakfast, lunch, dinner or snack, the date, and how many servings you're having.
  3. 3Plan or log. Mark it as planned for later or eaten now. Your day shows calories and macros against your goal.

Plan ahead, then log what you ate

Each diary entry can be planned or eaten. Plan tomorrow's menu from your cookbook, then mark meals as eaten as the day goes. Tap any meal to open the recipe, change your portion, and see nutrients for exactly what you ate.

Nutrition you can trust

Recipe nutrition comes from USDA FoodData Central. Each ingredient is matched to a USDA food and gram weight, and the app totals 27 nutrients per serving with % Daily Value, plus a per-ingredient breakdown so you can see where the calories come from.

Questions

Can I track calories for homemade recipes?

Yes. MagicMeals calculates calories, protein, carbs and fat for each recipe from USDA data, so logging a homemade meal is one tap and adjusts to your portion size.

Is MagicMeals a meal planner too?

Yes. Add recipes to any day as planned meals, then mark them eaten. Your day is laid out by breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks with a calorie goal.
