Save recipes from Instagram reels and posts
Instagram is full of great recipes, but they live in captions, comments and saved folders that are hard to cook from. MagicMeals turns an Instagram link into a clean recipe card with an ingredient list, numbered steps, tags and the original reel embedded, so you can cook without scrolling a caption with flour on your hands.

- 1Copy the link. In Instagram, tap Share on the reel or post and choose Copy link.
- 2Paste it into MagicMeals. Open Add, paste the link and tap Import. MagicMeals reads the caption from Instagram's public embed.
- 3Review and save. AI separates ingredients from directions and suggests tags. Fix anything you like, then save it to your cookbook.
What you get from an Instagram link
Every saved reel becomes a recipe you can search, scale and log, while still pointing back to the person who made it.
- Ingredients and numbered directions pulled out of the caption
- The creator's name and a link back to the original post
- The reel embedded at the top of the recipe
- Tags like dinner, high protein or vegetarian so you can find it later
- Calories, macros and a 27-nutrient breakdown from USDA data
When the caption doesn't load
Instagram sometimes hides captions from servers. When that happens MagicMeals tells you, and you can paste the caption text instead. The AI handles messy captions with emoji, hashtags and "recipe in comments" notes.
Questions
How do I save a recipe from an Instagram reel?
Copy the reel's link from Instagram's Share menu, paste it into MagicMeals and tap Import. The ingredients and steps are extracted from the caption and saved as a recipe card with the reel embedded and the creator credited.
Does MagicMeals credit the Instagram creator?
Yes. Every imported recipe shows the creator's name with a link to the original post, and the reel is embedded on the recipe page.
What if the recipe is in the comments instead of the caption?
Paste the recipe text into the import box and MagicMeals will structure it the same way, keeping the Instagram link as the source.
