Recipe nutrition calculator powered by USDA data
Every recipe you save in MagicMeals gets a nutrition facts panel automatically. Each ingredient line is matched to a USDA food and converted to grams, then the app adds up calories, macros, vitamins and minerals per serving.

Nutrition is shown per serving and updates when you change servings or edit ingredients.

- A per-ingredient breakdown showing which foods contribute the most
Why USDA FoodData Central
FoodData Central is the U.S. Department of Agriculture's public nutrient database and the reference most nutrition labels are built on. When an ingredient can't be matched, MagicMeals says how many weren't counted and marks the totals as estimated instead of guessing silently.
Questions
How do I calculate nutrition for a recipe?
Save or type the recipe into MagicMeals. It matches each ingredient to USDA FoodData Central, converts it to grams, and totals 27 nutrients per serving automatically.
Does the nutrition update if I change the recipe?
Yes. Editing ingredients or servings triggers a fresh lookup, and logging a portion in your food diary scales the nutrients to what you ate.
