Log a recipe you ate
- 1Open the recipe. Find it on the Recipes tab.
- 2Fill in Add to my food diary. Pick the date, the meal (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner or Snack), how many servings you had, and Eaten.
- 3Add it. Tap Add to diary. It shows on that day in your Journal with its calories and macros.
Reading your day
The top of Journal shows the calories you've eaten against your daily goal, and how much is on the menu in total. The light bar is what you've planned and the dark bar is what you've eaten. Below it are your protein, carbs and fat for the day.
Use ‹ and › to move between days, and Back to today to return.
Planned versus eaten
Every entry is either planned or eaten, which makes the diary a meal planner too. Plan tomorrow from your cookbook, then tap the circle next to each meal as you eat it. Only eaten meals count toward the big number at the top.
Tip: Plan a few days ahead, then tap Make a shopping list from my menu and every ingredient goes onto one list.
Change a portion or remove a meal
Tap a meal to open it. Use − and + next to Your portion, in quarter servings, then tap Save portion. Nutrition updates to exactly what you ate. You can also switch between Mark as eaten and Mark as planned, or tap Remove from diary.
Quick add and your calorie goal
For a banana, a coffee or a restaurant meal, open Add to today at the bottom of Journal, leave the recipe as Quick add, type a name and the calories (and protein, carbs and fat if you know them), and tap Add.
Your goal starts at 2,000 calories. Change it under Daily calorie goal in Account.
